Class #1 Getting Started
This class will familiarize the student with the different painting materials
followed by guidelines for painting, scene selection, and painting composition.
Class #2 Painting With Value
Paintings are often improved by simplifying to 4 values. This class will focus on painting in 4-values, creating the illusion of depth, and the importance of contrast.
Class #3 Understanding Color
This class will introduce color theory (hue/intensity/value) and how to create the illusion of depth using color. Painting with a 2-color complementary palette will reinforce this.
Class #4 Painting With Color
This class will focus on color mixing using a limited palette. Control of hue,
value, & intensity, and the importance of color contrast will be stressed.
